I hope your children enjoyed our first authentic snow day of the year. It’s hard to believe that we are officially halfway through the 20-21 school year! I would like to wish all Thoreau families a wonderful, healthy and relaxing winter vacation (2/15-2/19).
Elementary Progress Reports: Classroom progress reports will be published through the Aspen Portal in the Published Reports section on the front page of the portal by 4:00 PM on Thursday February 11th. If you have multiple children attending Concord Public Schools or Concord-Carlisle High School, each child’s name will appear next to any available reports. Reports can be downloaded and saved as .pdf files if you wish. With the exception of specialized reports (Special Education or English Language Learner), reports will no longer be mailed. To access the portal, login from the Parent menu of your child’s school website. (A link to request a password reset can also be found at this website or email parentportal@concordps.org.) If you have not already done so, please set a security question upon logging into the portal, so that you can self-recover if you forget your password in the future; password resets are addressed during business hours only.
Kindergarten Registration: Kindergarten registration has opened for the 21-22 school year. If you or anyone you know has a student entering kindergarten next year, they can find more information about registration here: https://www.concordps.org/new-
Pooled Asymptomatic Testing: Per Dr. Hunter’s recent communication, we will begin pooled asymptomatic testing for students on February 22nd. To give permission for your student to participate in the COVID-19 Pooled Testing Program at Thoreau, including consent to transmit student information via the pooled testing technology platform and consent to share the test result information with the Department of Public Health, CIC Health (a third party organization contracted to compile consent for testing and to share test results), and the Broad Institute (lab that processes the tests), please complete this form by Wednesday, February 10, 2021.
