Getting to Know Mrs. Venuti

In 1997, I received a Bachelor’s Degree from Boston University in Communication Sciences and Disorders.  Then, in 1999, I earned a dual Master’s Degree from the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions (MGH-IHP) in Speech-Language Pathology & Reading Instruction.   After working in the hospital setting with both children and adults, I decided to switch gears and focus my work on the population I adore most – elementary school students.   I began working here in the Concord Public School System in 2004.

My current position as a reading specialist and literacy coach allows me to work with both students and teachers across kindergarten, first, and second grades in the realm of literacy.   When I am not here at Thoreau School, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children.  You can find us biking, hiking, and camping as well as visiting the city, enjoying music, and exploring all that New England has to offer.

And of course, you’ll often find me with a book in hand: )
