Thoreau Families, It’s hard to believe we’ve passed the midpoint of the school year and will be celebrating the 100th day of school next week. The highlight of the year for me was certainly our first all-school meeting. Our entire community came together in the cafeteria to celebrate, learn from eachother, and engage in some fun activities. Henry Husky even made an appearance! I’m thrilled to share our excitement about the progress we’ve seen so far this year. Your children have shown incredible dedication to their learning journey, and it’s heartening to see the positive impact of their hard work.

Partnership with Therapy Dogs International: We are very excited to announce that Thoreau will be piloting a therapy dog program this year! Lester Alloway, our canine friend, has completed an extensive training program and is certified by Therapy Dogs International. Lester and his handler Evy will be visiting our school for roughly an hour each week on Fridays.
